We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Lead Consultant to support a high-profile programme within a regulated environment. This role combines hands-on expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) with leadership responsibility across delivery, operations, and stakeholder engagement.
Job Title: SAP EWM Lead Consultant (Contract)
Location: Remote (UK-based) with occasional travel to Poland
Day Rate: £400-£450 per day
Eligibility: Minimum 5 years continuous UK residency required
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence across SAP landscapes, particularly within BASIS and HANA environments, while driving successful EWM implementations and ongoing support.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Lead the resolution of escalations and incidents within SAP BASIS and HANA environments, ensuring adherence to SLAs and quality standards
* Oversee and contribute to SAP EWM delivery across full project lifecycles
* Validate and manage change implementation plans, ensuring compliance and minimising operational risk
* Conduct root cause analysis and trend analysis, presenting findings to business stakeholders
* Engage with customers regularly to identify operational issues and drive continuous improvement
* Support capacity planning activities across SAP systems to optimise performance
* Mentor team members, develop SOPs, and maintain clear technical documentation
* Act as a key interface between technical teams and business stakeholders
What we are looking for:
* Minimum 2 full lifecycle SAP EWM implementations
* At least 3 years' experience in SAP WM
* At least 3 years' experience in SAP EWM
* Strong expertise in SAP BASIS and SAP HANA administration/support
* Proven experience within the Defence sector or Defence-related environments
* Specific experience in ammunition management
* Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring capability
* Strong analytical skills, including root cause and trend analysis
* Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and incident management
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Fluent English (written and spoken)
* SAP Certified Technology Associate (SAP HANA) - desirable
* ITIL Foundation Certification - desirable
* Must be immediately available for a full-time contract
* Willingness to travel occasionally to Poland
* Due to project constraints, candidates must have:
* Minimum 5 years continuous UK residency
* No personal or familial background linked to Russia or Belarus
