People Partner (Employee Relations) - South East

£55,000 + £6,000 car allowance

Permanent | 4 days on site, 1 day from home

A large regulated infrastructure business is recruiting a People Partner to support its operational teams in the South East.

This is a hands-on, ER-led generalist role. You'll own live casework, coach managers to handle routine issues themselves, and free up the Senior People Partners to focus on strategic work. It suits someone who wants operational breadth rather than a policy-writing seat.

The role

* Manage ER cases end to end - grievance, disciplinary, performance, absence
* Advise and coach managers on policy, procedure and employment law compliance
* Reduce case volume through early intervention rather than reactive firefighting
* Design and deliver manager training on performance and absence management
* Run performance reviews with apprentices and identify wider training needs
* Support Senior People Partners on restructure and change projects
* Maintain accurate people data and produce team reporting (GDPR-compliant)

What you'll need

* Background as an HR Advisor, ER Specialist or People Partner
* Solid employment law knowledge and live casework experience
* Track record advising and influencing senior operational stakeholders
* Experience building and delivering manager training
* Exposure to organisational change
* Commercial, numerate, and comfortable with shifting priorities
* CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent experience

On offer

Competitive pension, £6k car allowance, bonus scheme, BUPA healthcare, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, life assurance, holiday purchase and cycle to work
