Are you experienced in spare parts, ideally within the automotive, machinery or engineering sector, and enjoy helping customers find the right solutions?
We're looking for a proactive, customer-focused Spare Parts Advisor to join an established and supportive team.
This is a varied role combining customer service, technical parts identification, sales administration and supplier liaison. You'll be responsible for identifying, sourcing and supplying the correct parts and accessories, ensuring customers receive an efficient and professional service.

Responding to customer enquiries and recommending suitable parts solutions, including advising on pricing, availability, lead times and alternatives.
*
Working closely with service technicians, service administrators and workshop colleagues to ensure parts are available for servicing, maintenance and repair work.
*
Identifying parts using manufacturer catalogues, technical drawings, electronic parts systems and supplier resources.
*
Preparing and processing customer quotations, sales orders, returns, credits and warranty claims.
*
Sourcing and purchasing specialist or non-stock parts from approved UK and international suppliers.
*
Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory management, including stock checks, audits and replenishment.
*
Keeping parts transactions, customer records and associated documentation accurate and up to date.
*
Providing regular updates to customers regarding order progress, backorders and delivery timescales.
*
Supporting warehouse and stores activities during peak periods, including goods receipt, picking, packing and dispatch.
*
Identifying opportunities to generate additional parts sales through service kits, consumables and product upgrades.
*
Building positive working relationships with customers, suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams.
*
Maintaining high standards of customer service, quality and health and safety.
About You
You'll ideally have:
*
Previous experience in a spare parts environment, ideally within automotive, machinery, engineering or an industrial setting.
*
A strong customer service mindset and the ability to build positive relationships.
*
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and handling parts information.
*
The ability to interpret customer requirements and identify appropriate parts solutions.
*
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
*
The confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
*
A flexible and proactive approach, with the willingness to support colleagues across different areas of the operation.
We're looking for someone who is hardworking, confident and approachable, with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Working Hours
*
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
*
Core working hours between 7.30am and 5.00pm.
The Benefits
There's a particularly strong benefits package on offer, including:
*
Annual leave: 24 days' holiday plus 8 bank holidays, increasing by one additional day after 2, 5, 10 and 20 years of service, up to a maximum of 28 days.
*
Pension: 4% employer pension contribution.
*
Annual pay reviews: Yearly salary reviews.
*
