Clinical auditor

Mon-Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
£20.00 ph
About the role
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented clinical auditor to join our quality and governance team on a fixed-term basis. Working closely with clinical leads, nursing teams, and senior management, you'll coordinate and deliver the full clinical audit cycle - from project scoping through to presenting findings and tracking improvement actions.
Your work will have a direct line to patient safety and service quality. The insights you generate shape how our clinicians practise, how our teams prioritise improvement, and how we demonstrate compliance with national standards.
What you'll be doing
* Designing and coordinating clinical audits aligned to national and local priorities
* Collecting, analysing, and interpreting clinical data - identifying trends, outliers and areas for improvement
* Producing clear, concise audit reports and presenting findings to clinical and non-clinical audiences
* Supporting re-audit cycles to ensure improvement actions have been embedded and are delivering measurable change
* Building strong working relationships with clinical staff at all levels to maximise engagement and data quality
* Maintaining the audit register and ensuring governance processes are followed accurately and on time
* Contributing to the wider quality and patient safety agenda across the trust
What we need from you
* Experience in clinical audit, quality improvement, or a related healthcare governance role
* Strong data analysis skills - confident with Excel or equivalent; SPSS or Power BI a bonus
* Excellent written and verbal communication - able to translate complex data into clear narratives
* Degree (or equivalent experience) in a healthcare, science, or data-related field
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
