We are seeking a motivated Buyer to join a highly successful Purchasing team, supporting the smooth and efficient supply of materials, components, and services required for production.
In this role, you will manage sourcing and purchasing activities, negotiate with suppliers, and help secure the best balance of cost, quality, and delivery. You'll also monitor stock levels, raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and contribute to supplier performance management while working closely with internal teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day-to-day purchasing activity
* Negotiating with suppliers and identifying cost-saving opportunities
* Raising and tracking purchase orders and deliveries
* Monitoring inventory to support production needs
* Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
* Resolving issues relating to quality, pricing, and supply
* Supporting supplier reviews and reporting
* Collaborating with production and warehouse teams
* Ensuring compliance with company policies and H&S standards

What we're looking for:
* Experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials management (manufacturing preferred)
* Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
* Familiarity with supply chain processes and ERP systems
* Good IT skills, particularly Excel
* Analytical approach with strong attention to detail
Desirable: MCIPS (or working towards), contract knowledge, and data analysis experience.
