Why consider temporary work?

Most of us are familiar with how to find a new permanent job, but there is an alternative. Temporary work is a period of short-term employment, convened through a recruitment agency, whereby you take on a project or assignment from one of the agency’s clients. You are not an employee of that company, but an Agency Worker, and when one temporary job finishes, you can easily move into another, often in a different company. 

I have been working in temp recruitment for 10 years and during that time I have met so many people with such a wide range of backgrounds, personal situations, experience and skills – all of whom have their own reasons for taking on temporary roles. These include wanting to network with new people, gaining work experience, gaining new skills, filling a career break, or simply needing more flexibility than a standard contract would allow.
