GDPR - Understanding the Implications

Many of our clients may be aware of GDPR but not necesarily fully understand the implications to their business or how to start planning for the new General Data Protection Regulation coming into effect in May 2018. With this in mind, Huntress has partnered with a specialist GDPR consultant with years of experience in senior IT positions, who will deliver a presentation on the subject.

We are holding the event exclusively for our current client base to help the organisations we work with improve your understanding of the legislation and help you to become ‘GDPR ready’.

Main discussion will include:

• What is GDPR?

• What are the implications if your company is not compliant?

• What steps can you begin to take to become compliant?

There will also be an opportunity at the end to discuss a select few individual cases and if you feel a more private conversation is more suitable then we can discuss setting up a meeting post-event.

John Crich - Our keynote speaker John is a certified GDPR practioner and accredited by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ). He has a career which spans 20 years as an IT Management Consultant. Key elements of his services include:

  • Leading on information security improvements, capacity planning and enforcement of data retention policies
  • Managing regulatory and audit requirements, IT General Controls, PCI compliance
  • Managing operational risk and the introduction of controlled penetration and DR testing

John and the other GDPR consultants we work with will play a pivotal role in assisting our clients to implement this change and ensure your company is not imposed with any sanctions which can go up to and exceed 10,000,000 EUR in the case of a data breach.

We have limited availability for this event so if you are interested in attending please contact Anna-Marie.Russell@huntress.co.uk who will be able to advise if we can allocate a place or alternatively she will help to provide you with further reading or events on GDPR.
