Title: Investment Administrator - Economics Graduate Calibre
Salary: £15,000 - £16,000
Are you looking to further your career within a nationally recognised financial services organisation? Are you qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in economics? If so this could be the role for you. A busy and demanding position, the post-holder will be responsible for providing valuations and pricing for Unit Trusts and OEIC’s. Any previous financial services experience is ideal for this role but is not essential.
The Role:
The post-holder will be responsible for providing accurate and timely fund valuations and pricing; ensuring the underlying holdings held by the portfolios under administration are correct; and validating OEIC and Unit Trust Fund prices within the SLA deadlines. Responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring that all investments relating to the UT and OEIC funds administered are valued on a regular basis in accordance with all current regulations
* Ensuring that all calculated UT and OEIC prices are reported to clients and all relevant parties within the SLA deadlines
* Validating all underlying investment prices supplied by third parties are accurate and are adequately checked to confirm their authenticity
* Documenting the price checking and validation process on the assigned funds in order to provide an audit trail for internal and external reviews
* Ensuring that all assigned Fund Managers sign offs are received in a timely manner, queries are resolved and the results documented
* Maintaining own knowledge with regards to regulations and industry practices
* Reporting any breaches or errors on the fund valuations to Compliance in a timely manner
* Providing excellent customer service to clients
Who we're looking for:
We are looking for someone who is qualified at degree level (or equivalent) in economics, or has previous experience within fund / investment management. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Bloomberg, world markets, and regulatory requirements applicable to OEICS’s and Unit Trusts. In addition to this you need at least a grade C in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent), good analytical and numerical skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
