Title: Legal Cashier (Maternity Cover Contract: 6 – 12 Months)
Salary: £20,000
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Cashier within a leading organisation based in Leeds. Working on a maternity cover contract, the post-holder will be responsible for processing financial information accurately and in a timely manner. To be considered for this position you must have previous legal cashier experience.
The Role:
The post-holder will be responsible for: bank reconciliations and out of date cheques; identifying, allocating and posting incoming electronic and manual receipts; banking of office and client account receipts; checking and inputting CHAPS payments onto the in-house system; processing credit card payments; preparing cheque payments; checking and posting bills; transferring monies; dealing with any internal or external enquiries; making payments from petty cash and reconciliation of petty cash; ensuring bills are accurately input onto the system; inputting purchase ledger details; producing spreadsheets; payment of staff expenses; and general administration duties.
Who we're looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier with a recent working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules. In addition to this the post-holder will need experience of case management systems, a good working knowledge of MS Excel and internet banking systems.
